Hi Amanda,

I’m not overweight by that amount so I can’t speak from direct knowledge, but I do know that Pilates is great exercise no matter your size. Since it’s all about strengthening your core muscles it’s going to help a lot with posture and stresses on your joints (not to mention helping to shed those extra pounds).

Is there anyone else out there with more direct experience that can answer Amanda’s question?

Well I’ve watched all of the mari winsor ads for this product but I’m scepticle about buying since I’m no where near the physicle size of the models on tv. Is there any one out there that is over weight by 100Lbs and has a bad back that has used this pilaties program and product?

I work out with my daughter. I want to order Mari Winsor’s workout with the accelerator, but I need an additional accelerator. I have not found anywhere that I can order another. Does anyone know?

I’m curious, has anyone purchases previous Mari Winsor TV offers? I have several of her DVDS and they all bear a similarity. While she is consistent, I fear buying the same thing all over again with just a few modifications for this new piece of equipment. I have the first set of mostly classic-type pilates, the slight changes for the circle, the slight changes for the ball, the sort of weak cardio-dance DVD, etc. So if you have other Mari Winsor DVDs, how does this compare? Does she talk less? How is “dynamic transitions” different than her previously touted “dynamic sequencing”? Are they basically the same thing? Thanks for any comparative reviews you can provide.

OK, Gang–GO FOR IT! Kate’s right–this is a truly great product!! I was very concerned about my phone order at the 800 number as I they kept trying to add on stuff “for a free trial period” (Yeah, right–and then get charged for it and not be able to get it turned off if it is like most of these offers.) Also, I was NEVER given a total then of what this was going to cost me (see my earlier comment) All in all a very upsetting experience. Well, the package arrived today and was exactly as they promise on TV. And it was also the exact price they quote on the TV infomercial. (And didnt contain any of the “junk” offers I didnt want.)

The DVD’s are excellent and so are all the other parts of this set. I ran through a couple of the exercise segments. I am 15 pounds overweight (all of it in my midsection) and also out of shape but I was able to find plenty of exercises I could do in a slightly modified form until I make some progress and limber up. (even the very out-of-shape can find a “a starting place” using this program.) So I had fun and felt like I had “worked my bod.” I can tell it is going to be effective if I just keep at it.

Mari’s directions are crystal clear as are the demonstrations, and anyone who does this faithfully WILL lose pounds and inches. My conclusion from viewing all the DVD’s and using the gear is that all components of this kit are the high quality you would expect from someone with Mari’s reputation.
